Rail Jam...

The Rail Jam at Elm Creek was a great day to see all the kids show off their talents! It was quite breezy standing out there but well worth it!

Tristin took 3rd place out of 7 in the 12 and under group in the rail jam at Elm Creek. He was the youngest by 2 years and he did a great job!

Congrats Tristins!

He's Sick...

Tristin's Dad was out watching and was approached by an older kid, 17, who said "Your son is SICK!" he looked at him with confusion. The kid explained how amazing Tristin was out on the hill. Now, Tristin is getting the attention of the older kids and they are starting to "coach" him if you like. They play follow the leader, the older kid showing Tristin how to do something and Tristin following. They are all pretty impressed with his natural ability! So here are some new pictures!

Way to go Tristin!

Giants Ridge Competition, January 2008

Tristin competed at Giants Ridge in Bordercross, Slolom and Giant Slolom. For his first competiton he did great and was able to keep his times close to kids that have been snowboarding for much longer than he has been.
He took a trip to Ski Patrol for Bordercross and didn't get to finish after he was forced off the course as all the riders came around the corner. He bruised his ankle but was fine and took the rest of the day off.

The second day, he competed in Slolom and Giant Slolom which he only tried a couple days before for the first time. He took 5th and 6th in Slolom and 6th in Giant Slolom.

Here are pictures from the competition.
